2008 CleanTECH Venture Roundtable Finalist

Ecolite Concrete USA is the developer and manufacturer of the remarkably innovative Ecolite Wall System. A marriage of light gauge steel framing and lightweight cellular concrete, the Ecolite Wall System is manufactured to builder specification and shipped to the construction site ready-to-erect.

A triumph of integration technology, the unique Ecolite walls have superior resistance, high sound attenuation, positive thermal properties, and eliminate issues of mold, mildew, and termite infestation. Ecolite walls are a "green" building material and eligible for LEED credits in four categories.

Ecolite's unique wall manufacturing process moves exterior wall construction from the jobsite to a highly controlled design and manufacturing environment, significantly shortening the build cycle of a project and for less money. Ecolite delivers its proprietary wall systems for use in large scale military, government, high rise, and multi-use developments.

2008 Clean TECH Venture Roundtable Finalists

FinalistClean TECH San Diego partnered with CONNECT to host the Clean TECH Venture Roundtable. This annual event enables a "short list" of local early stage clean technology companies who have passed a rigorous and competitive screening process to pitch their businesses to the investment community. This year, the finalists included an ocean wave renewable energy solution, a wireless control energy efficiency solution for the hospitality sector, a micro-algae biofuels business, a lightweight eco-friendly concrete wall solution and a clean transportation technology for the transit sector. The quality and diversity of these finalists demonstrate that clean tech innovation is thriving in San Diego.
