Call for Applications: SXSW Eco Startup Central
CleanTECH San Diego President Jason Anderson is serving as a member of the Advisory Board of SXSW Eco’s Startup Showcase. SXSW Eco hosts a three-day event October 6-8 in Austin, Texas, that serves as a platform to identify solutions to environmental and sustainability issues.
SXSW Eco provides unique networking opportunities and cross-sector discussions for diverse, passionate, and pragmatic professionals in the public, private, and academic sectors. As part of SXSW Eco, SXSW Eco Startup Central serves as a launching pad for cleantech and social impact companies and ideas from around the world. Presenting at the event offers exposure to potential investors, strategic partners, clients, and media outlets. Collectively, in the past two years, participating companies have gone on to receive seed and series funding totaling over $25M, acquire global brands as clients, partner with utilities and energy companies, and develop other significant business relationships. We are hopeful the San Diego cleantech startup community will be well represented at SXSW Eco Startup Central.
Should you or anyone you know be interested in participating in the SXSW Eco Startup Central, please complete the online application by June 20, 2014. Finalists will be selected by the Startup Central Advisory Board, a distinguished group of investors and industry experts from around the globe, and announced in early August.
