Cleantech San Diego Unveils New Logo and Website
Modernized brand reflects San Diego’s clean technology leadership
SAN DIEGO, CA, September 19, 2014 – Local nonprofit industry trade organization Cleantech San Diego this week announced the unveiling of a new logo and website. The rebranding reflects a new era of growth for the seven-year-old organization, which also this year named a new president and expanded membership levels aimed at engaging San Diego’s startup community. The organization’s new look was officially unveiled to members and friends at a Member Appreciation Party held September 17 at Latham & Watkins.
Cleantech San Diego’s goal with the new logo is to develop an identifiable mark that is clean, fresh, and easy to read.
“We chose a color scheme that is San Diego specific, where we are internationally known for the sun and the sea,” said Nancy Bell, Principal at Promar Designs, the branding firm that led Cleantech San Diego’s logo design and website development. “The icon has a high-tech style and indicates the innovative and forward-thinking nature of Cleantech San Diego and its members. The various sizes of the circles represent organizations — large and small, public and private — coming together in San Diego’s culture of collaboration.
New and updated features of the redesigned Cleantech San Diego website (cleantechsandiego.org) include member spotlights, a regional cleantech company directory, an event calendar, rotating blog posts, and responsive design for optimized viewing on mobile devices.
“Cleantech San Diego’s modernized brand is inspired by the innovation and collaboration that drives San Diego’s global leadership in clean technology,” said Cleantech San Diego President Jason Anderson. “We look forward to this contemporary identity carrying us well into the future as we continue to support San Diego’s ever-evolving clean energy industry.
