Cleantech San Diego and UC San Diego: Collaborating to Accelerate Cleantech Innovation

Since its launch in 2007, Cleantech San Diego has worked closely with UC San Diego to support the region’s cleantech industry. As one of its founders, UC San Diego’s collaboration with Cleantech San Diego has included the development of a first-of-its-kind biorenewables curriculum, joint advocacy efforts to advance the region’s cleantech ecosystem, access to UC San Diego’s microgrid, and connections to climate scientists at Scripps Institution of Oceanography.

Most recently, UC San Diego is partnering with Cleantech San Diego on the Southern California Energy Innovation Network (SCEIN) program to help energy entrepreneurs successfully bring their innovations to market.
