City of San Diego: Our Climate, Our Future

Last month, building on his commitment to have San Diego take bold, equitable steps on climate action, Mayor Todd Gloria launched “Our Climate, Our Future” – a new visionary city initiative that seeks to address the climate crisis while improving public health and quality of life as well as driving innovation and opportunity in our regional economy.

The first phase of the initiative includes updates to the city’s Climate Action Plan as well as adopting a Municipal Energy Strategy for city operations and a Climate Resilient SD plan. The city’s Climate Equity Index was also updated this year.

Cleantech San Diego members are invited to join Sustainability Manager Ashley Rosia-Tremonti; Deputy Director, Environmental Policy & Public Spaces Division Heidi Vonblum; and Municipal Energy Program Manager Lindsey Hawes for a conversation about updates to the city’s climate action, resiliency, and equity plans and how the cleantech sector can support these efforts.
