San Diego Community Power

Launched in March 2021, San Diego Community Power (SDCP) is a Community Choice Aggregator (CCA) committed to providing municipalities, businesses, and residents in Chula Vista, Encinitas, Imperial Beach, La Mesa, and San Diego with clean, renewable energy at competitive rates. In June, commercial and industrial account holders were enrolled in SDCP with two options for service:

PowerOn: Base-level electricity service offering a minimum of 50% renewable energy plus 5% greenhouse gas free. Customers in the cities of La Mesa, Chula Vista, Imperial Beach and San Diego will automatically be enrolled in PowerOn at launch, with the option of opting out and returning to SDG&E service or opting up to Power100.

Power100: SDCP’s premium service that provides 100% renewable energy. Customers in the city of Encinitas will be automatically enrolled in Power100 at launch, with the options of opting down to PowerOn or opting out and returning to SDG&E service.
