City of San Diego Municipal Energy Strategy

In 2015, the City of San Diego adopted a landmark Climate Action Plan with the goal of eliminating half of all greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) in the city by 2035.

To meet this goal, the City must take action to reduce its own building emissions alongside its residents and businesses. San Diegos’s municipal building portfolio presents significant opportunities for improvements that will reduce energy use and GHG emissions while improving infrastructure, security, workplace environments, and indoor air quality.

Cleantech San Diego members are invited to join us for a webinar with City of San Diego Municipal Energy Program Manager Lindsey Hawes, who will discuss the City’s Draft Municipal Energy Strategy that aims to advance projects and policies for City buildings that help mitigate the causes of climate change. Lindsey will also discuss two municipal energy initiatives being planned for the near future.
