San Diego Green Building Council Presents: Net Zero Water Conversation

Onsite water treatment systems and indoor non-potable reuse is gaining momentum along the West Coast. From Seattle to San Francisco, a number of case studies, programs and incentives supporting these safe, economically and environmentally smart solutions are growing. How will we bring this momentum to San Diego and engage local leadership in the Net Zero Water Conversation? 

The event will focus on three aspects of onsite water treatment systems:

  • POLICY, PROGRAMS AND INCENTIVES: presented by Paula Kehoe, San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, Director of Water Resources
  • SYSTEMS ENGINEERING CASE STUDIES: presented by: Barbara Bradley, Advanced Onsite Water, President Pete Munoz, Biohabitats, Senior Engineer and Bioregion Team Leader 
  • BUILDING DESIGN CASE STUDIES: Ben Dalton, The Miller Hull Partnership, Principal, will discuss The Bullitt Center (Seattle, WA, Living Building Challenge certified) and San Ysidro Land Port of Entry (San Ysidro, CA, LEED Platinum),Matthew Porreca, BNIM Architects, Principal, will discuss Omega Center for Sustainable Living(Rhinebeck, NY,  Living Building Challenge certified)
