San Diego Architectural Foundation Presents: A Day on the Bay

The San Diego Architectural Foundation’s third annual CONTEXT forum about excellence in the built environment will be a deep dive into the Port of San Diego’s major planning projects from Chula Vista to Harbor Island and the “Smart Port-Smart City” strategy, and how all those weave together in the future of the San Diego Bayfront and its recently completed 50-year vision.
“A Day on the Bay” will take place at the Port Pavilion on Thursday, June 2, beginning at 2 p.m. “Expo on the Bay” will be followed by Port updates on three North Bay projects and two South Bay projects. These are open to the public at no charge. The ticketed portion of CONTEXT will begin with “San Diego Bay Bites” from 5:15 to 6:45 p.m. and at 7 p.m., a panel discussion of the Port’s 50-year vision process, outcome and next steps, including its “Smart Port-Smart City” strategy.
