Green Edge Technologies and Measurabl Win San Diego Business Journal Innovation Awards
CleanTECH San Diego member Green Edge Technologies and SCRUB graduate Measurabl both received the San Diego Business Journal’s 2014 Innovation Award in the Energy/Green category. The ceremony took place June 11 at the Scripps Seaside Forum on the campus of Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego.
Green Edge Technologies is the developer of the EDGEhome system, a whole-home energy monitoring and control solution.
“We are so pleased to have been recognized by the San Diego Business Journal as one of San Diego’s most innovative companies in the Green/Energy category,” said Green Edge Technologies CEO & Founder Scott Steele. “Along with our being named a finalist in the Sustainable Brands Innovation Open a few weeks ago, these awards are great validation of our turnkey, cost-effective, and whole house system that lets people control all of the electrical systems in their house, and which helps people reduce energy usage by seeing where it is being used, including identification of devices that are wasting energy.”
In addition to being a new member of CleanTECH San Diego, Green Edge Technologies also presented along with Measurabl at CleanTECH San Diego’s SCRUB program in February 2014, a quarterly pitch event for local early-stage green businesses.
Measurabl is a San Diego-based startup specializing in sustainability reporting, analytics, and solutions.
“We’re honored to be recognized as an innovative company and were thrilled to be considered among such incredible nominees” said Measurabl Founder & CEO Matt Ellis. “We count a large part of our success to the local talent and innovative culture of San Diego and the UC San Diego community.”
CleanTECH San Diego congratulates both companies on their wins!
