Jason Anderson Joins County Renewable Energy Plan Advisory Committee
Cleantech San Diego President Jason Anderson has been selected to serve on the County of San Diego’s Comprehensive Renewable Energy Plan Technical Advisory Committee. The County Board of Supervisors directed the formation of this committee to help guide the development of the County’s Renewable Energy Plan and to assist staff in formulating findings and recommendations for the Board’s consideration. The committee will hold its initial meeting in Fall 2014.
The Technical Advisory Committee will play an integral role in helping to shape future renewable energy initiatives in the County of San Diego. While the county has already undertaken a variety of efforts to expand renewable energy and green building development, the Comprehensive Renewable Energy Plan provides an important opportunity for a more comprehensive approach. In addition to promoting renewable energy, the plan will seek ways to reduce costs for customers while minimizing impacts to the community and its resources.
