- Cleantech San Diego celebrated its 10-year anniversary
- The San Diego region ranked #1 in the nation in solar installations
- The San Diego region ranked #4 in the U.S. for cleantech leadership
- The San Diego region surpassed 26,000 electric vehicles on the road
- Chula Vista was selected as one of ten autonomous vehicle proving grounds across the nation
- 16 startup companies were accepted into the San Diego Regional Energy Innovation Network
- The City of San Diego in partnership with Current by GE and AT&T began deploying the world’s largest city-based Internet of Things platform using streetlights
- The City of San Diego was selected as a Smart Gigabit Community and Cleantech San Diego and CyberTECH were named as key innovation partners to lead the program
- SDG&E completed the world’s largest lithium-ion battery energy storage facility
- $120 million in Clean Energy Jobs Act (Proposition 39) funding was granted to 468 San Diego schools for energy efficiency upgrades
